LEVEL 2
This is a full time programme which is studied over one year.
This course is an ideal starting point if you are interested in working in the leisure and sport industries. With a specific focus on health, fitness and exercise, you will learn about the function and structure of the human body and movement in sport. Develop your leadership skills by working with young children in the community, and through work experience within the Sports industry. There are also opportunities to participate in the Sports Leadership Academy

Successful completion of a broad range of GCSEs
These must include:
- English Language or Maths at grade 3
- one other related subject at grade 3
All students on a Level 2 course will also be studying towards GCSE Maths and or English if they have a grade 3 or below at GCSE.
You will also be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS). It will be administered by the college at the start of the course. The cost is £20 (non-refundable).

Leisure, Tourism and Sports is a diverse range of subjects which looks at a broad range of topics including health, enterprise, hospitality and management.

Expert practitioners
Various members of the Leisure, Tourism and Sports teams have played to a competitive level in selective sports, there is even an ex-footballer within the sports team. Staff also have extensive experience working in the aviation industry.
The Leisure, Tourism and Sports team are leading the way in pioneering the use of technology in the classroom and have been working with Google to make teaching and assessment more interactive.
Outside of college, many members of the Leisure, Tourism and Sports team are involved in volunteering and love to travel around the world to learn more about different aspects of tourism.
